How to recover deleted file from memory stick?
On the memory stick, there was a word document that was deleted somehow. It was in a folder with one other file. The total size of the folder is 63kb, but the file still in there only takes up around 30kb of memory. The file that was deleted is not hidden and cannot be seen. However, if it is deleted why is it still taking up space. Is there any way to recover it?

- You can download free file recovery programs that may be able to find/recover the file. Check out www.snapfiles.com
- YES, drive rescue is a very good program. I have used it to get doc/pic/vids off pen drives and floppies and even hard drives. I have the program on my pen drive, but Flash Drive Undelete 3.0.1.5 from download.com might work for you, since you only need one file, but free to try but 45.00 to buy. If you can't get it with that program message me back and i might be able to send that program during lunch break.(u could just reply back with your e-mail on this thread)
- When you delete a file, Windows only marks the file as deleted, but doesn't actually remove it from your system. Those files are only truly deleted (well, replaced actually) when other data is saved to the same location on your hard drive. So as long as you haven't saved any new files to that memory stick, then your word doc is still sitting there waiting to be recovered. I accidentally deleted a year's worth of family photos and financial documents on my wife's laptop, and was able to recover all of them. I definitely recommend iRecover - it's the real deal, and willl work for memory cards and hard drives.
