How to recover deleted files too big for recycle bin?
I've tried just about every software program and haven't been able to recover my wmv files that I deleted by accident. Is there any way to retrieve them? And does anyone know where these files are stored once they're deleted because I know that there is really no way to permanently delete anything off your computer.

- do a System Restore to an earlier date
- Have you tried doing a search for the files on your harddrive?
- Actually, once deleted, you can write a new file on top of the old one, which would make the files completely irretrievable. I do believe there is undelete software out there, but I bet it won't be free. Good luck!
- Try Recuva: (from the makers of CCleaner) http://www.recuva.com/ or Undelete Plus (my personal favourite). http://undelete-plus.com/ You may want to do this ASAP. The more computing you do, the higher the chances of your *deleted* file getting overwritten by new data.
- Did you already try system restore on your computer to go back to a day when you had these files intact? On the desktop, click on "my computer", "c drive" , "documents and settings", "(hp) administrator", "application data", "microsoft", "media player" , then click on any files you want that are named or any temp files and save what you need ...not sure, I am just guessing from how I get my lost temporary word files similarly...
- I believe there is undelete freeware. Google it and/or do a search for it at pcmag.com. Try searching for the file with * as the file extension, e.g., filename.* instead of filename.wmv. Windows has probably replaced the file extension with .tmp or who knows what. Once you find the file, rename it filename.wmv or whatever you want it to be.
- There is an answer. Here is a commercial recovery software that I have made available to you. Location = dropboks.com username = hidden_hack@yahoo.com password = password
