- You have to buy the software to recover deleted files. Macintosh Data Recovery is a program that can do this, too. There are others. However, if you expect to get it back without any outside software, you're sunk. Once you put a file in that trash can and click EMPTY TRASH, say, "bye bye." Last, may I recommend backing up your drive with an external drive such as Seagate's 320 gigabyte 7200 RPM USB 2.0 drives from Wal-mart. Not too expensive either. Also, grab a copy of Disk Warrior while you're at it from the Apple Store or online Apple store.
- http://www.recovermyfiles.com/ use the free trial thing it will show up. if its text you can just retype it. if its like a picture or program your gonna have to pay.
- It depends. Do you have time machine? Or do you have an older mac? I know with time machine, if you have the computer plugged into a hardrive thing it saves your entire computer daily. So if you have that you just activate time machine, and whoosh, search for it. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
