How do I recover deleted files from my PC?
I have just accidentally deleted the wrong file. I also emptied my recycle bin before I noticed. How do I recover this file? Is there a free option on the net? Thanks in advance.

- System Restore, if you have vista just type it on the search box, and choose an earlier date like yesterday, before you erased things. You can also do it by pressing F8 during boot, restart PC.
- You'll need a lost data recovery program, there a free ones out there as well as ones you have to pay for, but either one is a hit or a miss. Some are more effective then others.
- Give this program a try, it's worked for me and the best of the programs I used to use; http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23069-order,1/description.html Good Luck Keith Mitchell,Server Engineer,Hosting.com
- Tune up utilities 2009 has a tuneup undelete that will find files that were deleted and kept in your memory. If its recoverable you can undelete.
- you can use a file un-delete program to recover accidentally deleted files without rolling your whole system back. Do a google search for file undelete and I'm sure you'll come up with at least a dozen programs.
- You may try asoftech photo recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free. The pro version enables recovering not only photos, but also other files including videos, document, etc. Just that scan may take long time depends on hard disk capacity.
- You can try to recover your file (even if you emptied recycle bin) with Easy Drive Data Recovery software: http://www.munsoft.com/EasyDriveDataRecovery/ It uses unique modern algorithms to recover files that other software either recovers incorrectly or is unable to detect.
- I actually own a program that has a special search it can perform for deleted or lost recycle bins. You can try it out for yourself at: http://www.recovering-deleted-files.net Make sure you act quickly though. The files you are attempting to recover can be overwritten at any time.
